Helen Francis Stewart Lutes,

of Scottsdale, Arizona, ascended this life peacefully at home on May 9, 2001. She was born October 12, 1902. She was the great-great-grandchild of Confederate army commander in chief Robert Edward Lee.

Helen is reunited with her pre-deceased daughter who died accidentally at age 3. Helen Lutes is survived by her husband Charles F. Lutes and her extended family of thousands around the world who cherished her dearly as a loving mother and a divine light.

Helen was well-known in the community for her spiritual work. She was the first president of the Spiritual Regeneration Movement Foundation in Los Angeles; the first organization founded by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to introduce Transcendental Meditation to the world. She continued for over 50 years working with her husband, selflessly guiding people in their spiritual unfoldment.

Without Helen’s efforts and full support, the world wide TM movement would not have gained the momentum that it has. God was always in her heart. Helen loved and accepted all religions as paths to one God. She left instructions to be cremated and have her ashes spread over a large body of water. Everyone who knew her loved her. Her Golden light will be missed by all.

Helen was the embodiment of unconditional Love and She radiated that Love to all. She is a very special person who will be missed, but cannot be forgotten. A piece of her rests quietly within us all. A great spiritual leader has left us in body, but his spirit lives on in our hearts as a continuing guiding light towards God.
Helen’s final message:

"It is all Love and it is all about the Love."
